After everyone helped you put your things away, they said their last goodbyes and left. You rushed to your window and watched them leave, it was kinda hard because you were used to handling situations solo but this time around you really felt alone, It was at that time you really realized just how much you were growing up and knew there were going to be more times like this; where you had to stand alone......After you made your bed you got in and just laid there starring at the ceiling just daydreaming, then you felt someone standing over you; You looked up...Someone was walking in smiling.
M/v: Hi! You must be Y/n....We talked over the phone a few times.
Y/n: Hi, yes I am....Are you Ashliee?
A: Yes [She said with a smile, putting out her hand for you to shake it.] Its nice to finally meet you.
Y/n: Its nice to meet you too. You're a sophmore right?
A: Mmmhmm. If you want I can show you around campus a little more, get you more familar.
Y/n: Thats okay, maybe later. But thank you.
A: No prob. Just let me know when you are ready.
[You nodded your head.]
A: You miss them already huh?
Y/n: Huh?
A: Your family, I had that same "home sick" face my first day alone away from them too.
Y/n: Ooh, yeah. I do.
A: Well college life is real different, especially since you're living on campus, kinda like stepping into the real world so to speak....But you will catch on quick, you seem like a fast learner.
Y/n: Thanks.
A: No problem. Erm...Do you have any rules for me?
Y/n: Rules?
A: Yeah, like pet peeves, etc...So we can see eye to eye, make living together so much easier.
Y/n: Oooh, well. Um, well one could you please respect me when I'm studying..So no loud music or trying to get into deep conversation, etc.
A: Gotcha. I request the same thing.
Y/n: Two; Don't just openly borrow my stuff without asking...Big no no.
A: Gotcha.
Y/n: Same thing with my food.
A: Lol, I really gotcha on that one...Same for me. I see we're on the same boat.
Y/n: Yeah.
A: Oh, um remember too, We share a community shower and its CO-ED....all the way down the hall to the left. Best advice with that one, get up early! Because the guys here can be so damn immature and will hog up shower time on purpose.
Y/n: Oh, thanks for the tip.
A: No prob, I had to learn the hard way with that one. Oh and one other thing, I have a boyfriend...so you don't have to worry about me bringing all kinds of havoc in here. And my boyfriend isn't here unless I'm here, and if you're here studying or whatever then we can leave out of respect for you; Keeping the peace, you know.
Y/n: Awww, Thank you for that.
A: You welcome girl. How about you? You have a boyfriend?
Y/n: Girl, No! Just got out of a bad thing.
A: Oh I'm sorry. Guys can be such asses.
Y/n: Hmpt. Who you telling.
A: Well just to let you know, the guys in college aren't any better. Just got slicker mouths...Watch out for the guys here too, they are a straight trip.
Y/n: You met your boyfriend here? If you don't mind me asking.
A: Nah uh girl I don't mind, I'm a pretty open person, especially with friends, future friends...If you don't mind.
Y/n: Oh of course not, we can work on being friends...
A: Cool. But um, no. I didn't meet Martin, which by the way is his name, here. I met him 4 years ago in Atlanta at this teen youth convention for this christian cusade that was hosted by TD Jakes.
Y/n: Really?
A: Yes. We became official two years after we met, been together ever since. He transferred up here from Morris Brown so we can be closer.
Y/n: Aww thats nice.
A: Yeah, but girl it wasn't easy getting to where I am now. It got so much worse before it got better. Like in the relationship department I had been hurt soooo many times I told myself I 'd never get with anyone ever again. Then I met Martin and thought he was just like everyone else, took a long time to fully trust him. But I'm so glad I finally let him into my heart. He's one of my greatest blessings.
Y/n: Thats the sweetest love story I've heard. Aww.
A: Hehe, Thanks. But my point was, You will have yours too hun. Just be patient.
Y/n: Thanks sweety.
A: Anytime. But I have to go to the library and start on this essay because its not going to start itself, lol. But I'm glad we're room mates, you seem very nice.
Y/n: Thank you, you do too and me too.
A: I hope you enjoy Howard.
Y/n: Thanks, me too.
A: See ya.
Y/n: Later.
