It's been a few weeks since I first called Destanie. We've talked many more times after, she is the coolest chick I ever met..well not met, yet. My closest peoples know about her, Bow..NeYo..Columbus..and Omari--they all are waiting to meet her, including myself. We've discussed the issue of us meeting up but never have we made a date yet. Mainly because I been so busy trying to get ready for the 2007 BET Awards, so I didn't have much time to talk to her. But being it that I'm in Cali now is perfect because Destanie lives in Baldwin Hills, not too far from where the award show was hosted and not too far from where my hotel is...I think fate is dealing its cards in my favor.
But today was the day of the award show...It was crazy! I was so glad I could be apart of it, even though me and Bow didn't win best collab its still all good. Speaking of Bow, my boy wasn't too amped earlier because he saw Ciara sit next to 50, they were holding conversations when the camera wasn't on them--It drove Bow crazy, so he wasn't himself today no way, I told him he should've just told her he was sorry and did what he had to, to make it up to her, Ciara loved him so I know she would've easily took him back...And since he claimed to love her too I assumed he would've proved himself to her once more...But his ego and foolish pride got in the way and when you been hurt, sometimes its just best to move on- So I wish my home girl CiCi the best of luck........Anyways. The crazy energy of being in the same room with all those hot people was wild. All the performances were bananas!! My fav 3 were the Gerald Levert tribute, the Diana Ross tribute and of course Beyonce, when Kelly and Michelle and Solange came out..it was crazy. Kelly really doing her thing, hope to work with her one day...But Mo`Nique, that girl does it big all the time...and when she had LL Cool J take off her shoe, that was pimp shit, haha....Reppin for the big girls, lol...The whole show was just straight gulley!!! Man...every part of it, I loved it... And on top of that I presented an award with the lovely Rihanna....Everyone assumes that we're together or says we should get together. I mean I admit I had a slight crush on her, I still think she cute. But shes more like my sister...Besides she has a boyfriend, Its just that they're very secretive about it, so only a few folks know about it.
The after party at the Sky Bar in the Mondrian Hotel was even crazyier!....I did ALOT of dancing, girls were comming out of the wood work trying to get a dance. I never sat down, it was nuts....Shit, I even got a few glasses of champayne, lol. But don't tell my mama. The club started to bump my boy NeYo's hit "Because Of You" and I started to think of Destanie, its so funny---We're not together but it feels like it. You know how if you know someone; girl or boy...you both share a connection, feels like yall known each other for a good minute...talk about whatever with each other. There's even a mutual attraction there....But yall never made it offical, mainly because yall never talked about it. Well thats what its like between us.
It's now round 3am and people still going at it strong....Like the later it gets the hyper folks gets. Its the liquor I'm telling you, lol. But I decided to leave...I'm know I'm young and all but I was getting mad tired. But not just tired from the award show and after party but from all the days I been in the studio non-stop. So I got my chaffer` to drive me back to my hotel so I could sleep.....As I sat in the back of the Phantom I watched the city lights of the late LA I felt sleep compell my body, I closed my eyes about to pass out. But the loud ass ringer on my phone made me jump.
"Hello?" I said kinda aggravated. That's how I sound when I'm sleepy.
"You sleep already. You so weak." I heard her giggle through the phone, but hearing her voice made me wake up completely.
"Shut up girl, They was breaking me down on the dance floor." I replied playfully.
"Uh huh, I thought you was the prince of rhythm." She said smacking her lips.
"Oh, I'll show you what kind of rhythm I got." I laughed because I knew what I was thinking about.
"You so nasty." She laughed back.
"You saw the show?" I asked.
"Yup, I did. It was crazy." She answered.
"You see me though?" I responded.
"Look at you, yes I did...You looked funky fresh. But what was in your backpack though?" She asked laughing.
I laughed back. "Nothing."
"Then why did you wear it loser?" I could tell she smiled when she asked that.
"Shut up lame, its a fashion statement." I said turning my lips sideways, like she could really see me. Lol.
She snickered. "Uh huh okay Charlie Brown."
"Wamp, wamp." We paused for a second and laughed.
"You stupid." She said.
"I know...You still at work?" I asked.
"I didn't go to work today, had the day off." She said yawning.
"Now you weak." I replied.
"Huh?" She asked confused.
"Cause you getting sleepy." She smacked her lips and told me to shut up.
"Why don't you come outside and come kick it wit ya boy." I suggested.
"With who?" She asked.
"With me, duh." I said sarcasticly.
"For real? Thought you'd be on your way back home by now." She responded.
"I will in a few days, but for now I wanna see you. Is that okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, let me get dressed." She told me.
"Cool, aight just give me your addy." I said.
---She gave it to me and we hung up. I told my driver to head that way. I was so nervous...I'm finally gon meet her. I'm all excited. I sound like the fan and shes the celeb, lol. Crazy how the tables turn, well at least I know now how my fans feel.
We pulled up to the house she said she lived in, baby girl was living bigger than I was. I texted her that I was outside, 5 minutes later she was headed toward the car. The driver opened it for her, the door opened and our eyes met. She was looking so damn pretty. She sat closely besides me after we greeted each other with a hug and kiss on the cheek. In person we didn't talk much, we just looked out the window alot. Alot of awakward silence the whole car ride, weird. ....We finally got to the hotel.
"Home sweet home." I said opening the door.
"That car ride seemed to last forever." She said as she walked around looking inside.
"Yeah...So um, what do you wanna do?" I asked her.
She sat on the edge of the bed and just looked at me. "Whatever you want."
I looked at her for a moment...then I walked over to the tv. "Lets watch some tv." She agreed and she laid on the bed as I sat on floor flicking the channels. "What do you want to watch?" I asked her while still changing the channels. "Lets watch porn." I paused and quickly turned around to look at her, she looked at me with a stern face with a sexual look in her eyes. "You serious?" I asked shuttering. "Haha, No.. I wasn't." She said laughing more. "Y-You s-serious...should've seen your face though." She laughed more. I threw a pillow at her. We went at it for awhile, wacking each other with the pillows..making a bunch of noise. We finally decided to play video games. We played Smash Brothers, she's pretty good...beat me a few times. We got tired after an hour of playing and got in the bed, I asked if she wanted to stay the night--she agreed. I knew I wanted to go to sleep and I couldn't sleep with the lights on, so I turned them off. We laid by each other...
"D." I said breaking the silence.
"Yea?" She said moving around, so now she was facing me.
"Can I hold you in my arms?" I nervously asked.
I felt her moving closer to me. "Sure hun."
I opened my arms and she fell in. She smelled soo good and she was so soft. It was killing me...In so many ways, I found myself fighting the animal in me; trying to tame the beast.
"Do you do this with all your fans?" She said as she looked up at me.
I kissed her forehead. "No, Only for you bay bay."
She smiled and kissed me back on my cheek....We pillow talked for awhile, then we drifted away to sleep together....
